An oasis of living water in the heart of Bangkok

Christ Church has been on this site since 1905 (originally starting life in 1864 as the Protestant Union Chapel in a building near the Chayopya River). We are part of the Anglican Church in Thailand and of the Diocese of Singapore.

We aim to be…

• A spiritual oasis where people can grow in discipleship, share the love of Jesus and serve others in the power of the Holy Spirit.
• A vibrant, growing, welcoming, Bible-based, prayerful community which worships the risen Jesus Christ, and demonstrates Christ's love.

Common Worship?

With the wide diversity of people from so many different backgrounds, traditions, denominations and nationalities who come to worship at Christ Church, the concept of ‘common worship’ is not always easy. Common worship is in fact changing around the world. It is perhaps better to think of it, not as something which is ‘the same’ wherever you go, but as something which is ‘familiar’ in most places - with common statements of faith; familiar patterns of prayer; and celebrated in a variety of expressions that bring richness to our worship.
